Practical Info

When: 3rd & 4th November 10am til late each day

Where: The Brunswick Club, Brunswick Square BS2 8NX

Get involved:

The Bristol Tattoo Circus is a self-organised event in which everyone gives their time for free. There are people coming together from far and wide to make all the different aspects of the weekend happen, and there are definitely still roles to fill if you want to get involved! We are still looking for volunteers for the welfare team, food, the welcome desk, the kids space and the after-party. If you fancy lending a hand with any of these roles, get in touch via the email – your help would be hugely appreciated!

Accomodation:

If you need somewhere to stay for the weekend then we will do our best to find somewhere for you, but please get in touch as soon as possible!

Food:

There will be vegan food available for donation all weekend, but more details of when coming soon. All the money raised will go towards Bristol ABC. For more info on where the money is going see here.

Kids:

Kids are very welcome to all aspects of the tattoo circus apart from the tattooing, which will happen in a separate room to the rest of the event. There will be a kids space if any parents/carers want to get some ink!

Stalls:

There will be stalls selling anarchist and abolitionist books/zines from Active Distribution, Base Infoshop and Hydra Books, plus some wicked t-shirts from Empty Cages Collective and Horizontal Prints!

Tattoo safety/hygiene:

We realise the importance of good hygiene practices in tattooing, and have taken this into consideration in all our planning. We have had the brilliant Cloud 9 Tatu studio on hand to help with all aspects of planning the tattoo side of things, and have made sure that all artists that we book to tattoo recognise the importance of good hygiene practices. For any more info give us a shout 🙂

Dogs:

Dogs are not permitted in the space/s that will be used for tattooing, but are welcome in other areas.

Getting There:

Buses 8, 9 and 72 all go from near Bristol Temple Meads (Bristol’s main train station) to Bond Street, which is just a 5 minute walk from the venue. Alternatively you can take the M2 from near Temple Meads to Cabot Circus, which is just a 3 minute walk from the venue. If you are traveling from Bristol Airport, you will need to get the A1 to the bus and coach station. From there, the venue is just a 7 minute journey on foot. The venue is not far from the city centre, and there are good transport links for getting around Bristol.

We have probably forgotten some information, but you can always ask us a question! Please contact us through the email: bristoltattoocircus@riseup.net
